Who’s writing all this stuff?
Hello there! I’m Angela Herrera Koren, a clergy coach and therapist with sixteen years of experience in congregational ministry.
In June 2025, I completed a fifteen year ministry at First Unitarian Church in Albuquerque and transitioned into private practice as a therapist and clergy coach. I am a bit of a “digital nomad” in this new chapter, traveling around the world as my wife completes rabbinic school with an international fellowship. I am a practicing Reform Jew (and I’m glad to talk about how that works!).
I work with UU, Jewish, Christian and other clergy serving progressive communities.
You can learn more about my therapy practice at KorenCounseling.com, and about coaching here. When I’m not working, you might find me watching Star Trek, listening to birds, or doing martial arts.
I have an Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School and a Master in Counseling from New Mexico Highlands University. (I swear this time I’m really done with degrees. Really.)
